This is the book I needed this year. Fast paced, sarcastic, and filled with kaiju. Scalzi himself notes in the author's note that this is a pop song of a novel, light and fun. It was a great palate cleanser and a rollicking good time. I'll have fun rereading it when I need some binge-worthy book fun.
