They literally gave Fitz and Olivia without the adultery though. Cord was just everything I want in a love interest. He was so sweet and would literally do anything for our main character, Pearl. Pearl was a very headstrong person which was very annoying because damn open your eyes and just accept the love in front of you. Her pushing him away just made the ending that much more satisfying though so I won.
