Mother Tongue Notes: Lovely book with intriguing illustrations. Good for fluent readers who can be encouraged to read half a page of type, but not quite ready for early chapter books. It took about 20 minutes as a read aloud with me sharing the reading. The ducklings’ rhyming names are fun practice for earlier readers. Site specific to Boston, MA.
