Wow. Wow. Wow. This… was not it. I have heard that you have to get past the first 2 books to think the entire 5 book series is amazing, but I just don’t know that I care enough. Lily is INSUFFERABLE. Her sex addiction is such a weird plot point, and I understand that it’s a valid addiction, it’s just… so… cringey. Lo’s addiction to alcohol is also so cringey. Maybe it’s just the way these two characters were written, but I didn’t feel sorry for either of them. I hardly felt like either one wanted to get better, or cared that they had addictions so crippling they were in a fake relationship to hide them. The spice was also SOOOOO BLAND. I liked the new characters we were introduced to, like I LOVE Connor Cobalt and Ryke Meadows. I might read the Calloway Sisters series.

But especially considering book 2 of this series is going to start with Lo being sent off to rehab, I don’t think there’s nearly enough likeability for me to be invested in these characters working out a LDR.
