My first read of the year! I finished this last week, but due to being sick, I am very behind on updating my reading trackers.

Evocation was on my 2024 backlog, so I’m glad to finally get to it. I love the way ST Gibson does prose and atmosphere. This book takes me right back to the golden age of paranormal romance, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

The relationships in this are obviously at the very center. I loved David, Rhys and Moira; all three of them are very strong on their own and I loved seeing them grow together. I really wonder how this will develop in the second book; I hope it doesn’t stagnate here.

Overall, a solid start to my 2025 reading challenge!
