In all honesty, I chose this book because it was really short and I was in the mood for something quick.

It's not a bad story in itself but I feel the murder was resolved too quickly and from a little suspicion of something.

I was tired of reading that "there was something that wasn't right", written in other words but meaning that. I mean, this was only 23 pages long, no need to repeat that so often.

I feel like the author gave us so much info on the characters' backgrounds that this mini book fits in the middle of the series... which it might be even though it says book 1.

I think I cannot base my reading of this series or the author on this book alone. I'll have to try at least another one at some point.
