First of all, the plot in Tandem is incredibly unique. The whole theory of parallel universes is not something that has really been explored in young adult literature. The beginning of the book was a bit confusing for me, and it wasn't until about 2/3 of the way through that I realized that each chapter (or non chapter title depending on the character) was a different perspective from someone else. Once I understood how it was written and understood what the Tandem was and who the characters were, I flew through this novel. I definitely have to say I wish there was a bit more character development and a little less description on things that didn't seem to have as much importance however I loved Thomas' character and cannot WAIT for Tether to come out this fall!
