The Atlas Paradox by Olivie Blake

3.0

Love Olivie’s writing and her characters!! I felt like this one was a bit more all over, and there wasn’t much really happening. I think it might suffer from second book in trilogy issues haha, where it was mostly just setup for the next. I did enjoy a good bit! I love the banter and the vibes.

But I was also disappointed with aspects. Ezra, the alliances, the research that was just kinda dropped at the end. I felt like Ezra would mean more and he just was ignored and then conked at the end lol. I’m sad we won’t get to see a confrontation between him and Nico. Plus, we had all this talk about their research projects and it seemed like Reina and Callum would have bigger parts and then they just… didn’t? Every character just felt a bit hollow. None of them really accomplished anything except Libby. The rest just kinda gave up on her (except Nico and Tristan) but even then, nobody really did anything of substance. It was a lot of talk but not much action this time around, which was dull.

I am excited for the final installment though, I have a feeling I’ll vibe with it more. I just felt this was too stagnant for me.
