i knew i wasn't a fan of classical literature language but here i am reading this book. it wasn't overwhelmingly classical but the story was very quick and interesting to follow. points deducted because it mildly felt like anti-gay since carmilla was the one initiating all the flirting etc. but the other girly kept saying no and being so shocked and also because carmilla was essentially the villain/vampire.
