This is a really strong start to a series in this 3 in 1 Omnibus. If anything, some of the information dumps explaining the rules and structure of the spirit world can be a bit convoluted at times. However, the action and character interactions keep things moving swiftly through plot points even when it’s clear certain parts are episodic. This book really impresses me with its visuals and its efficient world building and characterizations. High hopes for Omnibus 2 & 3.
Graphic: Body horror, Bullying, Death, Gore, Blood, Grief, Gaslighting, Toxic friendship, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Child death, Emotional abuse, Self harm, Violence, Stalking, Car accident, Abandonment, and Classism
There’s a good amount of situations depicting bullying and manipulative behaviour. There is technically brief nudity at a point but it’s drawn like body outlines so make your own judgement call. Most of the content feels like something a teen at the youngest would enjoy.
