Was this entertaining? Yup. Was it the best? Nope. There was a lot here that got kind of confused and muddled as the story went on. We’re under a time crunch to do things before Maz turns 30 but he’s also hundreds and hundreds of years old? I’m fine with this, if the author acknowledges that this is anomalous and still some how true. I’m trusting them with all sorts of unbelievable nonsense, why not this? But it’s not acknowledged. It’s totally ignored. And it really made me doubt whether this author deserved my trust.
