Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst
3.0
It is not easy to be in love, it is even harder to be in love with your betrothed's sibling. And when that sibling turns out to be his sister, feelings, plans and everything in-between are bound to be hurt.
Denna, raised as nobility with the knowledge that one day she shall reign a kingdom is betrothed to Thandi, the chosen heir of the Mynarian kingdom. His sister, Mare, is passionate about one thing and one thing only - horses. That is, until she meets Denna who stirs feelings in her she wasn't aware she had.
A beautifully scripted novel which touches upon the complication of being in love with who society would deem the "wrong" person amidst times of magic and impending war. A lovely read, although the romance between our two protagonists could have started sooner so as to invite the reader in to enjoy it longer.
