The versions of us that evolve out of life circumstances & the ways in which we try to find our way back to others after living in our darkest moments

I found myself trying to think of how I’d react if i were in Kristen & Henley’s positions and I felt the pain these two characters must have felt throughout the book.
The sign of a good book, for me, is when the plotline feels realistic enough that you’re able to do this.
You also know it’s good when you can’t put it down and you stay up late, even when you have to wake up early, just to continue reading.

The only reason this is a 4-star read and not 5 is because I do wish the reveal had come a little sooner so I could have appreciated Henley’s character a little more.

But also, he says things like this:

“Because I love you. And because I can’t not love you”

So I should have known to love him from the get go
