Rescuing a Supervillain by H.L. Burke, H.L. Burke

5.0

Absolutely loved this. It's a little lighter on the action side than some of the other SVR stories, though about on par for the Superhero Romance Project books (which tend to lean much more strongly towards the romance side of the equation). Sam and Bea are lovely, broken people, and I was rooting for them both to open up and find some healing and stability. I really liked their dynamic and arcs.

Also, there are cats. Who doesn't like cats? (And there's one particular scene with Bea and a baby kitten that may have made me tear up a little. I don't do that often, so that's a compliment.)
