When I signed up to review this book, I thought I would like it but I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. I am so glad I read it because this book is amazing.

I don’t think I have ever read a genie romance before, and this was perfect in my opinion. I would say this is a slow burn romance but fast at the same time because while they are immediately drawn to each other they don’t actually admit their true feelings until the end of the book. The banter between Velis and Dolly was amazing the romance was amazing the world building was amazing. Basically, everything about this book was amazing.

At the start of this book Dolly is going through some stuff that we learn more all throughout the book. While she is kind of broken, she’s still a very feisty woman who will stand up for herself. Velis. What to say about Velis? He’s swoon worthy, funny and brutally honest which isn’t really his fault. He can come off a little brash sometimes but again he can’t help it.

The only complaint I have is that I wanted more. When it ended it felt like there should have been more. According to the list of books by this author in the back of this book there is going to be another book in this series, and I can’t wait for it. I’m assuming it’s going to give me what I felt like I was missing from the ending of this book.

Overall, to me this book gave me everything I could ask for in a book. Can you tell I really loved this book? I definitely recommend this one to everyone especially if you love a good romance.
