House of Dreams: The Life of L.M. Montgomery by Liz Rosenberg
3.0
2.5*
What a disappointment. LM Montgomery's story is fascinating, and for fans of any of her books (most notably the Anne of Green Gables series), it's interesting to hear how events in her life influenced her storylines. Her life was often difficult, especially as an adult, and the ending wasn't a happy one.
But my complaint is the writing style. LM Montgomery's style was so fanciful, but the memoir read more like a Wikipedia entry or an 8th grader's book report. It didn't do her legacy justice.
