Mal has been a pivotal character throughout this fun series, I'm so glad he got his turn at finding love. He is such a level headed person, with a fun side and a fashion sense to die for. He meets his knight in shining armour, Omari, after he comes to his rescue. There is an instant attraction and they literally can't keep their hands off each other. However, every time, Omari shuts himself down, the barriers come up and he slips away. Each time taking a piece of Mal's sunny heart with him. Omari is the star football player, destined for the NFL and has so much pressure on his shoulders. The internal turmoil is crippling and he is struggling to keep upright. Mal is excellent at reading people; he doesn't know the reason, but he knows something is eating away at him. It is a heartfelt story at times, both men suffering, despite being so perfect together. Their intimacy was so special and always hot and steamy. He might not say much, but Mal can feel how Omari feels about him from how he touches him. This book shows the Boyfriend Café friends at their strongest, what a friendship circle they are. I also adored Scott, he was such a great friend to Omari. I really loved this story, I fell in love with Mal and Omari as quickly as they did. Such a strong book in this series. Can't wait to read about Jack next. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
