This was a great introduction to the Peculiar Tastes world set inside a shadow market. I thought the setting was really cool and I liked the unique characters. Both characters weren't really human, but I think that made the book more fun. This was mostly spice and not super plot heavy which is perfect if you just need something quick. There also definitely was a twist I wasn't expecting and I would love to see more of that character's story now. When I say spice I mean SPICE. This was filthy and I loved that the druid was Scottish, I just thought it was a nice character thing. Overall I'm excited to see how these stories build since they're all different authors, but I would definitely read a sequel to this one!
