The Wolf at the Door by Charlie Adhara

What a charming read!
I see now why it is such a beloved series.

This one is set in a small town.

Lately I'be been craving detective stories with romance and this one did not disappoint. Both the elements were well developed: so many characters seemed to be the culprits that I changed my mind just as much as the mc, the day to day detective work was very tv like and the romance, even if just the beginning (but don't worry there are two steamy scenes), was solid. The toughness but/and gentleness of Oliver got me.

The mc has some medical issues due to a previous injury. I hope to see more of that because it was very interesting!

I liked how it felt like the real world but it also had some improvements, like a general acceptance of queerness (even though I see a conflict in the future) and that so many leaders were women.
