A Harmless Little Game by Meli Raine
5.0
I read this as a whole, meaning all the books at one time. My review is for the series.
This series, well this series as I wrote in my notes ( yes I take notes when I read) is very thought-provoking and test the boundaries. Your stomach will twist as some scenes are masterfully told while other you’ll find to mediocre and drawn out. I would say by far I most thoroughly enjoyed scenes are the dream sequences, while still making dream come alive the author was still able to capture the dreamlike setting with carefully chosen words and allowing the reader to only see so much of the dream.
It took me awhile to fully understand some of the characters and their relationship. Some seem to have an underlying story of their own, like Anya & Senator Bosworth & Monica, Anya & Jane, Nolan Corning & his gang ( I would love to know how they all came about, while it briefly explored it didn’t really hint as to the how) and most importantly Lindsey and Drew. Now the series follow Lindsey and Drew so you’ll get their story but everyone’s else just seems to be there was blackmail. Which is fine but it just seemed a little redundant to me.
