This book gutted me.
I went blind with it and did not know that it was about domestic violence. I always try to avoid this type of books because... triggers.
However, I decided to push through and I’m glad I did.
If you ever want to know what it is to be in a toxic relationship, and not like the one GenZ talks about, the toxic type were you don’t know when love ends and hatred begins. Or if the hatred is towards yourself or the other person. When your relationship makes you doubt about your value and what you know it’s right. Read this book.

If you know someone who went through this and would like to understand it better, if you would like to be there for them but you find it hard to think about them as strong. Read this book.

Just read this book. It’s heart wrenching but it is also beautiful in its truth and its hope.
