The Bone Knife by Intisar Khanani
5.0
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the short story at the end of Thorn, and it seems to be setting up a new book/series by the author. As it is a short story, it’s tough to review without giving spoilers, but in just 30 pages, I was entranced.
Rae is an intriguing character, with a physical disability, who shows bravery in a time when fear could take over.
”You should on occasion be kinder to yourself.”
The lesson of the story: trust yourself and be kind to yourself. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for the new series!
Also, Khanani’s writing is exquisite. I’m pretty sure I’ve found another auto-buy author.
