David Koepp writes novels like they're screenplays, which is not a bad thing in the slightest. This book, with it's cast of characters lives and survives in this crazy time that is not dissimilar (and Koepp knows) to the world we're living in now, is INCREDIBLE. The characters are all so believable. The adverse affects that the blackout has on them are incredibly well thought out and researched.

Lots of great books are page-turners, but this one stands above. The action is suspenseful. The survival aspects are incredible. The themes are incredible.

I loved this one.
