Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century by Jessica Bruder

4.0

A book about the ways our economy forces choices people should not have to make. Its hyper focus on the elderly nomadic gives it an emotional weight I didn’t expect going in, and from the conversations Bruder was able to have with some of these nomads, it becomes more and more apparent that she might just be the Steinbeck of the 21st century Okie. Ironic to be writing this review on an app owned and operated by Amazon dot com.
