The Stranger in Seat 8B by Nikki Castle

3.0

3.5 stars

A to-the-point spicy romance novella, the steam is the highlight of The Stranger in Seat 8B, everything else is a little too tropey and intensely on-the-nose for my preference:the grumpy/sunshine personalities are stereotypical, dialog can be trite, and the depiction of the hero really tows the fine line between being an endearing, dominating love interest, and creeping into misogyny and stalker-y. Overall, it delivered on what I expected, and then some (having dual perspectives in a novella was a nice surprise), and Nikki Castle's writing is effortlessly readable—I might check out one of her novels in the future.
