To me, the mark of a good book is when the authors words swirl around in your head every time you put it down. This book left me speechless time and time again, ruminating over Rankine’s astute observations about loneliness, the American condition, and death. I would highly recommend this book, especially if you’re someone who studies/specializes in American Literature.
