One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez

2.5

This book sure was something, not sure if I love or hate it. So many characters with the same names, it felt like so much happened but nothing at the same time. I liked the magical realism and the writing really set the scene. But because of the time it covered just as you were settling in and getting into a storyline, it would end (usually sadly) and switch to the next. Hard to get to know or care about any particular character, so I was never invested or really cared what was going on. But the themes on history, family, capitalism, war, etc. are certainly there.
