I loved this book. 4.5. I fell headfirst into it. Mystery/thrillers with female detectives are my sweet spot, so that was not unexpected, and I have loved the Paula McLain books I’ve read, so that wasn’t really either, but the writing was wonderful, almost lyrical in spots, which I don’t always see or expect in mystery/thrillers.
