I don't know how Lucy Score manages to nail it every single damn time. This book brought me straight to tears. I was so emotional over the found family, the handling of loss and grief, and the overwhelming amount of small-town love. Harper was such an incredible FMC, and while she had certainly been through a lot in her life, her spirit and positivity was admirable and inspiring. Lucy does small town romances so well and I thought it was so important to show Harper and Luke's development both while he was deployed and returned back home. I couldn't get enough of this book. The secondary characters were just as important as the main ones and I really liked how well everyone was written and developed. This had spice for sure, but also tons of emotion and feelings. I love Lucy's books so much and I can't wait to see more of Benevolence with Gloria and Aldo's love story. 10/10 for sure!!
