Notorious: A Contemporary M/M Romance by Leslie McAdam

5.0

OMG, this book will stay with me for a long time. It’s a long one, but I couldn’t put it down. I was completely mesmerized by it, and I’m totally in love with Kurt and Johnny.

This deals with some pretty heavy topics, but it was nothing but compassionate and loving. Oh boy, it takes you on a journey that I’m obsessed with. They may be strangers when they get married, but Kurt’s desire to protect Johnny brings them closer together than most.

Kurt is a lovely human who’s a little pushy (in an eager kind of way) and very idealistic, and I love that. He’s the perfect person for Johnny, our gentle giant who’s struggling with life and trauma. Instead of becoming bitter or angry, he turned those feelings inward, and I just wanted to hug him and hold him (and anyone else who has felt remotely like him).

I don’t want to spoil anything, but just know that there are a lot of sweet moments to counter some of the tougher ones, the whole thing was beautiful and tender. The way Kurt proves how much Johnny matters feels like a warm hug.

Really, so gorgeous and I want to thank Leslie for writing it.
