Stunning colors and a lush scenery and setting, sadly bogged down by spotty writing and the ambition to explore multiple things in a limited amount of pages. I felt reminded of Mooncakes, Sheets, and the Tea Dragon series; graphic novels I enjoyed thoroughly and would love to see impact the GN market even more. This feels like a book I would have picked up at a convention or festival, pulled in by the beautiful art, bur slightly underwhelmed by the plot itself.
