***It’s been almost a year since I’ve read this book. After having time to get my thoughts together, I’m realizing that I actually loved it.
I just had to get over the initial shock. But to this day I am still constantly thinking about this book in vivid detail.

This book is extremely dark so please look up triggers if you need to before reading because this WILL stick with you.

This may be one of the worst books I’ve ever read. I really hated it. The read was easy and I finished it in 2 days but it left me feeling icky. I will say Suzanne did an amazing job with capturing how horrible and manipulative this character is. I should have known I wouldn’t have liked it just because of who the book was about.


With that being said, this isn’t a book that will leave you feeling good but that’s the whole point of it. This is supposed to make you uncomfortable. At first I gave this a 2 star but as I’m writing my review, I’m realizing how brilliant the author actually is. While I hated how dark this book was, her writing is phenomenal.

I don’t recommend this to those who are faint of heart and I will never read it again but this story will stick with me for the rest of my life.
