The beginning of this book was promising but that might just be because I like pirates, and I was hopeful. There wasn't much I liked about this book tbh. I didn't like the main character or the love interest. Everyone pretty much annoyed me except for the best friend, Shoa. I absolutely hated that the undersea city was more developed than the city above, and that it made it seem like it was set in a different time period. This book at too much romance and not enough story which made it boring. It was like the author didn't actually know what to write about to keep people engaged so she focused on the love story instead. I will not be continuing on with this series nor will I recommend it to anyone.
