That Summer Feeling by Bridget Morrissey
Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
i am honestly in a reading slump but i was excited for this book and for a good sapphic summer read for the first few hot days.
While the writing is easy to read and the premise is really inviting, i just couldn't find any will to keep reading it and only got halfway through it. Even though I absolutely support adults being silly and healing their inner child, these characters did feel way younger and the book could have easily been ya if it wasn't for the adults cast. I did get to the point of the main character realising she has a crush on her cabin roommat and her kind of realization or acceptanc of being queer, idk if it was full on comphet or if she is bi or unlabeled (might have needed to continue reading to know), but in the few pages of her realisation the word "deciding" or in similar grammatical form were used in relation to on one side her "heterosexuality" and on the other hand other people' queerness which irked me a little
