Oh man, oh man I adored this book so much. For the first time in a while I kept wanting to make time to read.

Warcross is the start of a new duology by Marie Lu. Set in a near future Tokyo, it's about Emika, a hacker turned spy who winds up involved in a huge VR game tournament.

I loved Emika as a character. She was a great heroine and one you really understand and feel for. Yeah, she doesn't always know the right thing to do but she'll try. My only problem is that there's no one to really ship her with and that makes me sad. Maybe in book 2? I just hope it's not a certain numbered guy.

I also adored the side characters. It wasn't until the Phoenix Riders were introduced that I truly fell in love with this book. Asher is my love, Hammie is kickass and I just wanna hug Roshan and push him and Tremaine together.

This book was so damn good and interesting. I seriously can't wait for book 2.
