I picked up this book as it promised a dystopian, cannibalistic horror. Unfortunately it wasn’t as terrifying and gut-wrenching as I had hoped for.
It was beautifully written - and a wonderful critique on greed, capitalism and consumerism. It was also a beautiful anti-factory work - I just wish it was more horror focused. (Although, I suppose it is horror focused. Just more so the horrors of capitalism instead of the horrors of cannibalism.)
