A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin

All these many reviews from other people... I don't think there's a thing left unsaid at this point.
However,
It's true that "A Clash of Kings" ends in a way that has less urgency compared to "A Game of Thrones". The last chapter which contains Bran seems to just... dissolve into the air, like a candle sizzling out, leaving me as a reader baffled.
It's still very well-written if not too many details that don't seem to matter.
And the Starks... oh my God, the poor, poor Starks.
Their story might as well be titled "[b:Tak Putus Dirundung Malang|2162520|Tak Putus Dirundung Malang|Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1228929279l/2162520._SX50_.jpg|2168045]", written by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana instead of George R. R. Martin.
