A beautifully written novel that delves into complex intergenerational trauma, familial boundaries, addiction, racism and self discovery. Parts of this story were so messy, i felt the anxiety, discomfort and injustice they were all feeling; a testament to Ali’s writing. i found myself always wanting to pick this up, a beautiful story.
