Devilsline vol. 14 by Ryo Hanada

!! review of entire series !!
overall rating is a 3.5. the highs were very high but there was also a lot of back-and-forth and the plotlines/characters weren’t always consistent. with that being said, i was intensely entertained and quite sad to see it all wrapped up. i went in thinking i was going to get a simple vampire/human love story with some basic drama to spice it up and left with so much more. i love how complex and mature the characters in this story are—there’s some real, solid growth in this series, and it’s so lovely to see how everything plays out. the endings may not have been storybook happy endings, but they feel realistic considering the dark-but-optimistic vibe of the series as a whole. definitely having a lot of feelings about this at the moment
