I'm so glad a friend recommended this to me, because this book looks like something tailor made for me. Fairy tales in modern setting but also procedural with fantasy police? Already sounds perfect but on top of that writer uses Aarne-Thompson classification? Amazing. My little fairy tale loving heart enjoyed this book so much it was hard for me to stop reading it. Seanan McGuire uses the bloody, creepy and consent hating world of fairy tales for her urban fantasy in the best possible way, referencing different variations of some famous stories that most people usually don't even know they exists, which made me so happy reading Indexing I can't even properly explain it.
