I waited two years for this? The page count for starters was 290 but the last 20 were a spinoff for a character with zero personality other than horns and a tail. Two years for 270 pages. Not to mention all the typos, dropped words and formatting issues.
I don’t mind when new POVs are added throughout a fantasy series but there was no character building for Loviatar and Tounen aside from they hate their job and want to live in the human realm. I couldn’t distinguish any difference between the two characters when reading their chapters they might as well have been the same person. While on the other hand Tuoni felt like a completely different character bumbling around the human realm like Thor in a Marvel movie. He’s an ancient powerful god who’s seen enough of the human realm through movies to know modern references like you can’t have it both ways. I think I gotta tap out, this just tanked the series for me.
