A Secret History of the IRA by Ed Moloney
4.0
Despite the length of time it actually took me to read this book, I found it quite readable. It is rather long and occasionally hard to follow if you (like me) don't have a strong understanding of the IRA and IRA individuals. However it will give an excellent overall sense of what happened in the IRA from the 1960s on. I found Adams' move to peace particularly interesting--can see why the IRA doesn't care for this book.
