This was one of my more favourite Penric books so far. It picks up immediately after Penric’s Mission and continues the story from there. I really enjoyed the entire latter half of the story – it had me genuinely laughing out loud several times. My one annoyance is the ending, which is a bit of a cliffhanger and leaves one of the main story questions unresolved. I guess I’m gonna have to read the next novella and find out what happens!
