I can’t really praise this book enough. The philosophy pulled from different religions and cultures to weave the story’s mythology is masterfully done. The characters are complex and sure to develop further with the progression of the series. If you want to delve into some early fantasy, before certain ‘tropes’ were even established in the genre, I’d recommend you check out The Wheel of Time series. I’m already hooked and can’t wait to see where the story goes.
