What I enjoyed: Wren and Alex’s dynamic. Having a character who doesn’t reject money (especially because he is working) out of bruised ego and pride. Caleb is a sweet secondary character. How Riley and Alex eventually settled their differences, and the way the issue of how wealth can change power relations even when things are done altruistically. There were some fun sex scenes too!

What I struggled with: The writing is a bit choppy and doesn’t flow the best, but I got more used to it as I read. There were also some grammatical errors that unfortunately stood out, and I just sometimes felt very disconnected from the prose and characters by how the book was written.

Overall, for those who want a Pretty Woman style romance with low angst (for the most part) I suggest picking this up! Good popcorn read.
