“Locks of blue hair fell across his forehead, but they didn't hide his eyes. They were wide, broken star-bright, and full of something that looked a lot like hope.”
I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK. I want to devour this series.
I love Stephanie Garber; I've loved her since the Caraval series.
Her writing has always been magical.
It allures you into the world you want to get lost in and explore the high it could give you.
In Once Upon A Broken Heart, we get straight into it.
I love that we're not wasting any time.
While it went straight into it, the book's pacing was not rushing.
Of course, there were so many questions, secrets and confusion about what was going on and what was going to happen; it is the beauty of Stephanie Garber's writing.
I love the "who the hell we trust" in all the introduced characters. There are so many suspects and side eyes we are giving, just like Evangeline, we are all clueless. We really follow through with her journey.
While we do not see it, if you read between the lines of scenes, dialogues and characters, Stephanie Garber leaves little hints of the storyline, which was incredibly written.
That ending was such a revelation that got me out of my seat.
Well done Stephanie Garber!
“I'm curious about a lot of things. I'm curious about you, but I don't want you to bite me!"
The corner of Jacks's mouth twitched. "I've already done that, Little Fox.”
