The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch by Philip K. Dick

5.0

Bizarre, bizarre book that demands to be re-read, so I'll hold off on writing much—especially since this is only my second experience with Philip K Dick, and the themes he explores here resound throughout his other works. It's hard to judge in isolation, but I really liked it a lot despite almost getting whiplash switching to this after HIGH CASTLE. Verges on being almost overstuffed with ideas, especially once it finishes revealing what's really up with Chew-Z, but like HIGH CASTLE it comes down to the main character being someone who just wants to get through the day with dignity, grounding it amidst the ideas flinging everywhere.
