Update: maybe I’m just dumb but if Corvina was born on an Ink Moon and Ink Moons happen every 5 years & the Black Ball happens every Ink Moon and the Black Ball is happening the year this story takes place, wouldn’t Corvina need to be either 20 or 25 for that to match up? Like it wouldn’t happen when she’s 22, if it comes every 5 years and she was born on one, would it?

I’m so mad at myself for putting off reading this book for so long bro. I loved it! The mystery was intriguing and the author did an amazing job of making you question everything and everyone without making the twist guess-able. I did think Vad was a vampire for like 90% of the book though even before Corvina’s dream lol.
