Why Mummy Drinks by Gill Sims
3.0
I thought this book was going to be a non-fiction discussion on the pressures working mothers feel and how they cope. Finding out it was actually a fictional diary meant I didn’t enjoy it as much as I might have. Reading it you do wonder why the mummy had kids or got married as she really seems to hate her life. The repeated drinking, fighting and swearing got a bit tiresome. Maybe if you have kids this book would speak to you more. It certainly doesnt convince you that children are a great idea.
