North Jersey's answer to Stephanie Plum. Lois Winston even mentions Stephanie and Janet Evanovich a couple of times in the book. But it's not quite as funny, and seems almost mean-spirited. Not terrible, but too busy and too many bad things happen for it to be believable. I will likely read the next one in the series, though.
